Hepatitis G

HGV is also known as GBV-C virus. It is a blood borne virus. Most patient show evidence of co-infection with other viruses such as HV or HCV.

Diagnosis

a) Anti-HGV antibodies in the serum can be detected.
b) Viral RNA can also be detected in bood by PCR.
